Jasper Town
Jasper is a specialized municipality and town site in western Alberta within the Canadian Rockies.
The Jasper town site, which is approximately 362 kilometres (225 mi) west of Edmonton, 290 kilometres (180 mi) north of Banff, and 28 kilometres (17 mi) east of the Yellow head Pass,
It is near the confluence of the Athabasca River and Miette River. It lies between the Victoria Cross Ranges (northwest), Pyramid Mountain (north), Maligne Range (southeast) and Trident Ridge (southwest). Lakes near the Jasper townsite include Pyramid Lake, Patricia Lake, Lake Annette, Lake Edith, Lac Beauvert, Maligne Lake, and Medicine Lake.

Here, it’s not uncommon to witness great bucks wandering beside the road, brilliantly green northern lights illuminating the night sky or deep-blue mountain lakes with not a soul around.
Dark Sky Preserve
See the stars sparkle brighter than ever before. Jasper is the world’s second-largest Dark Sky Preserve due to its minimal light pollution.
I took the Thompson Valley Charters bus from Edmonton to Jasper and stayed at the Jasper Downtown Hostel for one night.
Set in Jasper National Park, this relaxed hostel is a 5-minute walk from Via Rail train station and 8 km from the Jasper SkyTram gondola.

این هاستل آرام که در پارک ملی جاسپر واقع شده است، ۵ دقیقه پیادهروی تا ایستگاه قطار ویا ریل و ۸ کیلومتر تا تلهکابین جاسپر اسکایترام فاصله دارد
