M13 was discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714,
Sharp telescopic views like this one reveal the spectacular cluster’s hundreds of thousands of stars. At a distance of 25,000 light-years, the cluster stars crowd into a region 150 light-years in diameter.
Approaching the cluster core upwards of 100 stars could be contained in a cube just 3 light-years on a side. For comparison, the closest star to the Sun is over 4 light-years away.
About one third of the way from Vega to Arcturus, four bright stars in the constellation of Hercules form the Keystone asterism.
M13 can be seen partway between Zeta Herculis and Eta Herculis.  M13 can be visible to the naked eye depending on circumstances. With a low-power telescope, Messier 13 looks like a comet or fuzzy patch.
The cluster is visible throughout the year from latitudes greater than 36 degrees north, with the longest visibility during Northern Hemisphere spring and summer.

خوشه کروی بزرگ در هرکول

برجسته ترین خوشه کروی نیمکره شمالی آسمان، خوشه هرکول ، در صورت فلکی جاثی است که در سال ۱۷۱۴ توسط ادموند هالی کشف گردید
 هالی در توصیف این خوشه نوشت : با چشم غیرمسلح و زمانی که آسمان صاف است و ماه نیست  خود را نمایان می کند
نماهای تلسکوپی  مانند این ، صدها هزار ستاره را نشان می دهد که در فصله ۲۵۰۰ سال  نوری از ما قرار دارد
با نزدیک شدن به هسته خوشه ، تراکم  ستاره ها به عدد یکصد ستاره درفضایی به قطر سه سال نوری میرسد ، برای مقایسه ، نزدیکترین ستاره به خورشید بیش از ۴ سال نوری ازما  فاصله دارد را در نظر بگیرید
با یک تلسکوپ کوچک ، این خوشه مانند یک دنباله دار به نظر می رسد
این خوشه در طول سال از عرض جغرافیایی بیشتر از ۳۶ درجه شمالی قابل مشاهده است ، و دارای طولانی ترین دید در طول بهار و تابستان نیم کره شمالی است

Have you ever seen the Pleiades star cluster?
Even if you have, you probably have never seen it as dusty as this.
Also known as the Seven Sisters and M45, the Pleiades is one of the brightest and closest open clusters.
can be seen without binoculars from even the depths of a light-polluted city.
The Pleiades contains over 3000 stars, is about 400 light years away, and only 13 light years across. toward the constellation of the Bull (Taurus).
The actual number of visible stars in the Pleiades star cluster, depending on the darkness of the sky and the resolution of the observer, may be more or less than seven
Quite evident in the above photograph are the blue reflection nebulae that surround the brighter cluster stars. Low mass, faint, brown dwarfs have also been found in the Pleiades

خوشه پروین

آیا تابحال خوشه پروین را دیده اید
حتی اگر دیده  باشید ، احتمالاً هرگز به این اندازه غبارآلود ندیده اید
خوشه پروین که به هفت خواهر و مسیه ۴۵ نیز معروف است ، یکی از درخشان ترین و نزدیکترین خوشه های باز است
حتی از داخل یک شهربا  آلودگی نوری  بدون دوربین دو چشمی هم دیده می شود
خوشه پروین شامل بیش از 3000 ستاره است ، در حدود 400 سال نوری از ما فاصله دارد و فقط 13 سال نوری پهنا دارد.در صورت فلکی گاو نر (ثور) قرار دارد
تعداد واقعی ستاره‌‌های قابل مشاهده خوشه پروین، بسته به تاریکی آسمان و وضوح دید ناظر ممکن است بیشتر یا کمتر از هفت عدد باشند
در عکس فوق کاملاً مشهود است سحابی های بازتابی آبی که ستاره های خوشه را احاطه کرده اند
کوتوله های قهوه ای نیز در خوشه پروین یافت شده است
